Guide for Pilgrims from the UAE

Flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

Flights from the UAE to Jeddah or Madinah take about 2.5 to 3 hours, so many residents do Umrah over a long weekend. Saudi Arabia is 1 hour behind the UAE; send us your arrival time in Saudi time with your flight number.

Weekend and Eid Umrah

Thursday night, Friday, Eid and the last ten nights of Ramadan are the busiest times. Book your car early and leave extra time for traffic around the Haram. Book your Umrah permit in the Nusuk app before you travel; we arrange the transport. See the full route on our Jeddah Airport to Makkah taxi page.

Families and Groups from the UAE

Families often travel with parents and children, and friends' groups share one vehicle. A Staria seats 7, a Hiace 10–12 and a Coaster 22. Our team replies on WhatsApp in English, Arabic and Urdu.

Ihram, Miqat and Madinah First

If you fly to Jeddah, you enter ihram before the plane passes the miqat; many pilgrims change at the airport before boarding. If you go to Madinah first, you enter ihram at Abyar Ali (Dhul Hulayfah); on every Madinah to Makkah taxi the driver stops there for 30–40 minutes.
